My name is Benjamin Rancourt
and I am a Web Sustainability & Performance Consultant located in Sherbrooke (Quebec).
Personal story
Originally from Beauce, I grew up in Saint-Georges, qualified as the metropolis of Beauce. Having always loved technology, my career choice was not complicated when I finished high school.
I naturally headed for a Computer Science Technology program at Cégep Beauce-Appalaches, which I finished in 2013. Wishing to continue my studies at the graduate level, I completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Université de Sherbrooke in 2016.
My spouse Mariane and I loved the Eastern Townships tourism region so much that we decided to settle in Sherbrooke, its regional capital, after our studies.
When I'm not in front of my computer writing code, I like to play video games, read and cook. Outside my home, I also enjoy hiking, tasting local products and gardening.
My work
I currently work as a functional analyst at Ville de Sherbrooke, where I collaborate on the future citizen portal.
I previously worked as a technology analyst at the Université de Sherbrooke and as a developer at iA Financial Group.
